sucker for a deal and just plan stupid

Well this week was about as uneventful as they come. Pretty much just done the usual but thankfully the new season of T.V. is underway so atleast there was something to watch.

Not many people came to look at the flat this week..... about two I believe. Also the flat has started to on the odd occasion cook for each other which is good as it meant at least a couple of times I ate a decent meal rather then just sandwich burgers.

Anyway this week I made a slight mistake that ended up costing me at least $50. I went to pay the power bill over internet banking and accidentally clicked on the wrong pay anyone without realising it until after the payment had gone through. So I rang the bank and they said they could try and reverse it but that it would cost $50 and I should try and just contact the person if I new them. So I rang the company and left a message but since they didn't reply by 2.30pm (I was told to do it before 3pm by the bank) I done it through the bank as I got paranoid and even losing the $50 I would get $140 back. The next day I got a reply saying to send my bank account and they would return the money (from the company I had sent it to). *Sigh* oh well at least I still had enough money to pay the power bill.

Anyway as mentioned in the title I did end up spending quite a bit of money this week. Not only did I buy $100 worth of groceries so that i only had to pay $5 delivery when I ran out of things I needed after $65 but i also 2 games of which one I hadn't wanted at all but it was only $20 down from $80 and at least ended up being alot better then I expected even if it was rather short. The other was of course of steam which often has great deals and I had been relatively interested in getting it in the past so I don't feel that bad about getting that one. And I do have a decent amount of money left over each week now days since I no longer bother to get takeaways as I'm to lazy to walk and get them.

Anyway that's everything for this week so I'll leave it there.

Bye

and then there where 3

Well managed to rent out the second room today. A very friendly German guy took it which meant another day of cleaning out someones stuff. Unfortunatly I didn't have any boxes to put most of the stuff in so it mainly got plastic bagged which won't be very convenient for when they collect it for the move to wellington but oh well. The pile of other peoples crap is now about half the height of my room with about 50% of my normally empty floor space covered.... I can't even watch t.v. from bed as half the screen is blocked from my line of vision.

The first set of this seasons new T.V. shows started which is incredibly pleasing.... looks like t.v. is finally going to get interesting again.

Apart from that not much happened beyond the normal sleep, eat, watch t.v. and vomit. Good times.... good times.

Called it

Well as I expected it was a more productive week.

Went to classes which is good even though I got slightly annoyed when I realised that the teacher just dragged everything from the previous lecture that she didn't have time to cover and put it in the next lecture so that I ended up printing double of a bunch of slides.

Went to the doctors as well which will please my family and my lung function was pretty good.... only down about 2%. So I'm not really sure why I was throwing up so much... maybe I was normal person sick for a change.... or maybe its just getting easier and easier to throw up. I vaguely remember hearing something like that but if its true that's really quite annoying. Feeling a bit better the this week and have thrown up less so hopefully I'm getting better.

A bit bored at the moment as I'm sick of the games that I brought while in Napier and haven't really found anything else to use my time for. I know I should study but cant bring myself to do that as its really not that interesting. I'm powering through the Wheel of Time series though and getting through a book at least every week which is probably better then playing games really but at this rate in a month I will of finished that as well.

Oh also the plumber came on Monday and now the showers 100 times better then it was which is excellent. I assume the second toilet is also fixed but I haven't checked that out yet.

Apart from that not much has been happening around here. Had a few people through the flat but not many and no one has wanted a second look or made any contact after the look through. On an amusing note I did show the 1st person ever through the flat that I would of said he couldn't move in. I can't place the reason why exactly but I got a weird vibe from him. Still that was on Monday and he hasn't rung so I think I wont have to which is pleasing.

Well that's it for this half of the week. Bye bye.

hurray I done something FINALLY

Howdy.

Well I finally got round to ringing up the places I needed to ring.... spurned on by the fact that the new flatmate was moving in and I hadn't mentioned the horrible water pressure and i wanted to be able to say it was being dealt to, but atleast it got it done. Also rang uni to find out what was up with the online enrollment and apparently I just have to email them the classes I want to add which makes it easier.

Anyway yesterday I cleared out one of the bedrooms for the new flatmate.... which I must say will not be happening ever again!.... well except for the other bedroom I need to do..... bummer. Anyway that was a nightmarish three and a half  hours of bagging, boxing, lifting and vacuum cleaning. Unfortunately he came an hour early then i expected so I hadn't finished so he originally put his bed and the few things he brought on the first trip in the lounge. Managed to finish midway through his second round of dropping stuff off and he helped me move the futon into the basement which was nice of him. Thankfully he decided to keep the desk as I did not want to have to try and get that out of the room... probably out the window.... not to mention getting it from the back area to the garage would of been near on impossible.

Oh and yesterday I got groceries delivered from Woolworths and must say that it was very helpful and I will defiantly be using them the next time I'm sick as it was alot more pleasant then what would of no doubt of been a hellish trip to the supermarket, if I had walked, that would of most likely involved me throwing up at least once. More likely I would off just lived on the scraps I had left as I had been for the start of the week.

Today all I got up to was showing two people the available rooms and then stuffing around in my room. I ended up putting the futon mattress at the end of my bed since it would get ruined (more so) in the basement and have found its actually quite comfy for sitting on when watching T.V.

You can probably guess by now that I didn't make it to uni as I had hoped but will definitely be going next week and plan to at least read through the lecture slides tomorrow of what I missed.

Next week will be a more productive week..... I can feel it in my bones..... and I guess it would be hard to be less productive.

Ciao

*insert vomiting noise here*

Well its been a few days since i last posted so ill give a bit of a run down on whats been happening.

Well I've been fairly sick, vomiting most days (all but 1 in the last 4) so I will hopefully go and get some medicine from the doctor tomorrow.

On the whole not being able to use the computer program to do my assignment deal I have no idea if i have it yet or not. Obviously that shows that no my 1st assignment didn't get done but in my defense i did try and go in on Sunday to do it but i couldn't get into the building. What annoyed me was that the next day I saw a post on blackboard that said we should have access to that computer lab from 7.30am to 10 pm, 7 days a week that had been posted on Friday but I was unable to get in at 4pm on Sunday. I think this class just hates me.

Had the 1st few people come through the flat yesterday so I had to clean up the rooms a bit which didn't take to long. It was quite funny though as one of the people that came and had a look through brought his mother along and she literally screamed when she saw the rats. I must say it was very hard not to burst out laughing but I managed to restrain myself.

Haven't made it to any classes so far this week as I've been feeling unwell and I've never need much reason to skip classes but I am planning to make it tomorrow as its the most important day really as I have a 2 hour lecture as well as a computer lab and it would be good to find out if i have the PASW 18 yet or not.

Tried to sign up for semester 1 and 2 today but when i got to the form it was still filled out with just my summer school application so will have to ask what I'm meant to do as i doubt i should just edit the one that's there. If I'm lucky i must just need to add the papers i want to do rather then fill in the entire form again which would be nice.

Well thats it for the last few days. Ciao

In a word: Unproductive

Well today's post will be nice and short.

Today I done..... practically nothing. Slept till around 2 chatted to some people on MSN then went back to bed at 5ish as i was feeling unwell, nothing major just a head ache and chills but sleeping is always nice when your not feeling 100%. Got up at around 7, ate some dinner then played games till now (11.30pm) where i plan to go to bed again.

So obvious my dreams of getting some study done did not come to anything, but off to uni tomorrow to do my assignment and hopefully some more reading from the book so I don't get to far behind.

Talking about dreams I had some awesome ones that would of made relatively amusing movies. There were two but the only one i remember much of now involved our (don't ask who we where meant to be) space ship crashing into a mainly ocean based plant and then something to do with the ocean heating up and another spaceship crashing into it which was actually ours again due to some space time continuum hick up and i believe the planet was going to implode in the near future and we where going to try and get parts of the second version of our ship to get off before that happened. Unfortunately that's when i woke up so i didn't see/experience the end which is a shame but oh well.

Night

another day. no closer to what i need.

Well today started badly luckily it did eventually improve.

Firstly i horrendously overslept. I had meant  to get up at around midday and instead got up just after 2pm due to the weather being horrible and bed being so delightfully warm.

Then I went and got a hair cut that ended up being alot shorter then i expected. It wasn't her fault, apparently I just suck at judging how much they plan to cut off when they do the gripping your hair with two fingers to indicate how much they where going to remove. It was an interesting hair cut though as she used a weird razor blade that had teeth when I've only ever had scissors used before. It kind of hurt but it appears to have done a good job... even if it was shorter then expected but with it being the second time in a row that this has happened I'm pretty sure its just my horrible judgment as mentioned earlier.

Then I went to uni to try and do my assignment but I still didn't have access to the program I needed which I must say annoyed me incredibly as its been three days since I first said this to a IT technician. So after bouncing between the main desk area and the IT desk a bit an email got sent off to who knows where and I apparently should have it within 24 hours. I'll believe it when I see it.

However after that I went and hung out with a friend I had meet this year from uni and had a good time watching TV and chatting. Hes a vegetarian much to my horror but dinner wasn't to bad and the onions cooked with garlic were delicious.

Now I do have a few things to say before i sign off. I was watching the news and saw a two stories that demonstrated to me how stupid some people are. Firstly green peace had either crashed or been crashed into by a whaling ship and had pretty much totaled their boat. Now i do agree in general with what they are trying to do.... they are just going about it in the most retard way possible. They chase down whaling boats and often seems to have accidents or they get harassed when they board them then start whining it happens when its pretty much totally their fault. Going after the boats themselves is not going to help the issue at all since its not the people on the boats that make the decisions, they are just trying to do the job they are paid for so for goodness sakes try something that may actually help like trying to convince more nations to put pressure on whoever is whaling (its either japan or china i believe).

The second story was about the female Israeli tennis player and the protesters outside. They where complaining about the troubles Israel is allegedly causing for surrounding nations. I'm not taking a side on whether this is happening or not but I very much doubt that its the tennis players fault so if you feel the need to protest against them then do it at somewhere where it may actually be helpful and not just be mean to a single person. In saying that the tennis player handled it very well and the one lady that was supporting Israel is, in my opinion, a legend.

I'm thinking after seeing these two story's on the news that I might make a protest group that protests against people being stupid in their opposition to things. There seems to be another of them that we would be keep very busy. But in saying that we may eventually need to protest against ourselves for the same reason but that's a question for another day.

Well another day gone and I still havent done much study but hopefully tomorrow will see me being a good student with plenty of study done (I'll believe that when i see it as well).

A beginning

Well always thought about starting a blog and now that my brothers moving from flatting with me to wellington i wont have anyone to rant to so i thought this was a good a place as any.

Started uni on Tuesday and its actually been alot more interesting then i thought it was going to be. Only 7 hours of actually classes a week which is nice but with the amount of reading they expect done each week going to have to do around 2 hrs study a day.... 3 on weekends probably.

I must say summer school has a totally different vibe to regular semesters. The fact that there's less people around makes me feel alot less self conscious (which is still quite a bit but any less is good) and just entirely more comfortable. I've even talked to a few people already which is really out of character for me and they seem really nice. Also the Lecture/computer lab tutor is a very friendly and amusing lady. Wouldn't surprise me if this is the reason I'm actually enjoying statistics which i hated with a passion in high school.

The only problems I've had is that i dont have access to the computer program i need. I told them on the 1st day and i had hoped they would of had it fixed by my 2nd computer lab but i still didn't have access to it which pissed my right the heck off. Surely its not that difficult to add a program to the list a student can access not to mention why the heck do then limit access in the 1st place. I very much doubt students out side of statistics are going to use a statistical package.

Oh well hopefully tomorrow it will be there so i can do all the work i missed for the assignment that's due on Monday. It shouldn't be hard if i can access the program.

Well that's all for today. The rest will probably be shorter depending what happens on a given day.

Till tomorrow, Bye.
